Over the last eight years, Shanthy Logeswaran
successfully managed and delivered various sizes and
complexities of IT and business projects in the
Financial Industry. One of the key factors to her
success is having the ability to build a cooperative
team environment within and outside of her projects,
where success is directly attributable to the people
involved.
Over the last 13 years Shanthy has worked in investment
firms and banks, gaining experience in accounting,
operations, customer service, software development and
project management. During this time, she has managed
several large projects with extensive hands –on
experience in conversions, system integrations,
infrastructure upgrades and investment application
upgrades which involved internal, vendor and external
firm resources.
Project management professional, with a master’s in
Management & Systems and a bachelor’s in Engineering.
He has over 20 years of experience in IT, financial
services and manufacturing. His area of specialization
is project management, business analysis /development,
process reengineering and systems integration.
His ability to proactively identify and resolve
issues through consensus building in Cross cultural
environment made him successful in managing multiple
banking & infrastructure projects
within time and budget in Africa, India and Canada
with diverse teams from UK, USA, South Africa, Ireland,
Australia, etc.
Margarida C. Almeida has years of experience in
education, banking, government, business, and the
voluntary sector. While in the banking industry, she
developed, coordinated, and implemented several computer
systems projects for use across Canada. While with the
Federal Government, she, as a judge, mediated and
arbitrated refugee claims. More recently, she teaches
Project Management (PMBOK@ based) to IT Foreign
Professionals giving her nine-year English teaching
career a new direction. In addition to teaching Project
Management, she is actively involved with the Thin
Client project for the Learning Enrichment Foundation
(Not-for-Profit Organization). Margarida is the
recipient of several professional and community awards,
which recognize her dedication to her profession and the
community.

Techniques
Managing the IT
project effectively, purely depends upon how well you
manage conflicts. It starts with separating people
from problems and tackling the problems by focusing on
interests and not positions. This workshop will provide
practical techniques for creating positive
conflict outcomes which will have substantial impact on
the success of project.

GTISLIG, we are introducing a ‘situational coaching
program’ to fill this need.
What
is this program?
The Situational Coaching Program is designed to help
project managers manage through the difficult parts of
their projects with more skill and less wasted time.
Participants with expertise in certain skills and/or
areas of project management (‘coaches’) will coach
others seeking input (‘recipients’) to:
• Work through a current problem
in the management of a project • Solidify a specific
skill in the area focused on above, so it can be applied
in any situation (the mature skill phase of the above
point); • Take any aspect of their project management
practice at a higher level of mastery
