Kirk McKay
Kirk McKay is a
seasoned IT Project
Manager and
Management
Consultant. With
over 30 years’
experience managing
projects, Kirk has
also assumed
management roles
such as Manager of
Systems Development
for a major medical
lab, IT Manager for
a large retail
catalogue company,
and General Manager
for 40 person
software company. He
has presented a many
PMI venues and is a
Marketing VP for PMI
Lakeshore. He is
currently on
contract as a Senior
Project Manager at
407ETR.
Kirk’s education
includes a Computer
Technology Diploma,
a Bachelor of Arts
(majors: Technology
Management,
Psychology), and a
Certification in
Business
Facilitation from
Victoria University
in Victoria. His
professional
designations include
Certified Systems
Professional (ICCP)
and Project
Management
Professional (PMI).
He continually
upgrades his
education through
ad-hoc courses,
conventions, and
reading. Kirk lives
in Brampton with his
wife Cristina and
they both enjoy
travelling
extensively. |

project in trouble.

provides a method
for understanding
why a project is in
trouble and a
process for using
risk to identify he
key areas for
remediation. It also
covers how to track
progress when saving
a project and when
to call it quits. A
case study will
illustrate the
